Anji Mountain Bamboo Rug Co.'s bamboo shag rug selected as a finalist in 2008 Housewares Design Awards!

The bamboo shag rug collection by Anji Mountain Bamboo Rug Co. recently previewed at select trade shows.

Retailers and consumers have marveled at the dense woven yarn, subtle sheen, and soft, luxuriant feel but Anji Mountain Bamboo Rug Co.'s Bamboo Silky Shag Rugmostly that the premium shag yarn is made primarily from sustainable, renewable bamboo. The Silky Shag is an inspired chenille shag rug made from 50% rayon from bamboo and 50% cotton and features a 100% cotton canvas backing.

Anji Mountain is the first manufacturer to develop and apply the technology that results in a plush, thick yarn perfectly suited for weaving a shag rug.

While the bamboo shag rug looks, feels, and wears remarkably like popular shag rugs made of wool or polypropylene (olefin), its unique qualities promote good health and a cleaner living environment. Bamboo fiber is naturally antimicrobial, hypoallergenic and odor resistant. These significant qualities benefit everyone but particularly those with sensitive immune or respiratory systems and those with skin or airborne allergies.
